What I do
When you understand the incredible person who you were truly created to be, you become free to connect with others in healthy, intimate relationships.
I help people discover the personal freedom that gives them boldness and power to overcome fear and joyfully take on life's greatest challenge--to be married for life.
I assist singles, engaged and married couples to craft personal visions for their ideal lives. We then work together to develop the communication and relational skills necessary to make their visions reality.
These same skills then overflow to help create more successful relationships at work, play and in all areas of life.
My Mission
My mission is to connect people to their own true hearts so they can connect with another to create lifelong marriages of joy, vitality and love.
Professional
My proudest credential is that my wife, Amy, and I have been married 34 years, and we are more in love today than when we first got together as 19 year olds.
We have faced the challenges of inferitility, adoption, early death of a parent, family mental illness, unexpected job termination, and business failure. Life has not been easy, but the journey has been unbelievably rewarding because of the intimate and loving relationship we developed along the way.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Pastoral Studies Degree.
I worked with many singles, engaged and young married couples during six years in church ministry and have continued mentoring young adults during my past 16 years as a business entrepreneur.
I am also a Licensed Singles Relationship Coach with Relationship Coaching Institute.
Personal
I am a compassionate and joyful husband and father of our three adopted children, plus a few quasi-adopted young adults.
I believe that our inner world creates our outer world and that we are dynamic, creative beings who possess great power to change ourselves and our world for the better.
As a Christian, I aspire to be a lover like Jesus Christ, who saw the God-image in every person.
Amy and I live near the "Third Coast", the beautiful, freshwater shoreline of Lake Michigan, and we enjoy hiking and playing outdoors during all four wonderful seasons of the year.
Coaching Style
My goal is to listen and help you discover and connect with your true inner self. As I gently challenge my clients we find ourselves laughing and learning as we both stretch from who we were to whom we we might become.
