As a communication expert and colour coach I help people to

2) futher I teach people how to empower themselves, how to build a feeling of worth and attractiveness and the image they want by teaching them body language and communication skills,  and incorporating colours into their life in a way that will  help them to feel better about themselves and at the same time uplift their relationships.

3) Dare to be themselves and express themselves, their needs, wishes & ability of saying no when it is needed

As a Relationship Coach, I help singles, cross-cultural woman/man who wish to enter a  cross-cultural relationship,to truly discover themselves, get more clarity in who they are and what kind of relationship they want. So that when they want to enter a relationship they can immediately create from the beginning a healthy relationship foundation

More specifically I help  divorced singles also to prepare themselves before entering in a new relationship. To get clarity why their former relationships failed, what fruitful lessons they can bring along with them.  And if needed I teach them empowerment techniques to regain self-esteem, self-confidence, help them to reframe beliefs and change expectations, that limited them so far in their relationships. And I help people in a relationship who feel lonely, isolated, uncared for, unheard-

a) rekindle their passion,
b) feel in connection, attractive and cared for again 
c) to be able to communicate on a deeper level so that  both partners feel appreciated, heard and understood

Further, I help professionals who have difficulty to remain faithful to their life partners and wish to become

Personal

I am  originally from The Netherlands, grew up in a multi-cultural environment and am currently living in Brussels and live part of the year in Orlando, Florida.
 
I lost my Hungarian father at the age of 9, grew up with a Dutch stepfather and soon realised the importance of finding one's life purpose, releasing emotional baggage, developing self-esteem, and communication skills, and realising one's dreams to be able to live a happy and successful love relationship and life.
 
I arrived in Brussels at the age of 19 barely speaking any French. While working as a secretary I took up the challenge to study marketing management at ICHEC in French on post-university level. Most people discouraged me, but I used my willpower and after two years I succeeded as one of the first with a distinction. I then climbed the corporate ladder from secretary to marketing assistant and marketing manager in less than 5 years.

Before the age of 25 I was a marketing manager for the international audio- hifi buying organisation Expert with over 40 shops-70 in Belgium and Luxembourg. In my job advising shop owners, I found that the shop owners that were successful also happened to be happy and pleasant to deal with. On the contrary, those who enjoyed less success were always afraid to spend, were very critical and had very low self-esteem and poor relations.

This intrigued me very much especially as I had no role-models of successful happy people around me. So I decided to study Human Resources management at EHSAL on post-university level and Neuro-lingistic Programming. with Paul Liekens and the New York Institute for Neuro-linguistic Programming . As I wanted to become a coach I also took an additional coaching education at Coaching & Co.
 
In the meantime I also had a serious private challenge : surmounting two chronical illnesses - narcolepsy and cataplexy of which two neurologists had said that. "she had to learn to live with it". I had at that time the possiblity to go into welfare like her father did. But I refused to do so and decided do all what was necessary to surmount this family pattern and my chronical illnesses.
 
Another challenge was my love relationship. My husband was from another religion Muslim) and cultural background (Asian-bengali) I did not have any good relationship role-models and could easily have chosen for a divorce, like many people around me did, but I knew that it would not be the solution, so I decided together with my husband to make it work again instead. Reconnect and fall in love with each other again.
 
Another challenge was to surmount my financial difficulties. My parents never knew true financial well-being and success, which was even more reason for me to create it in my life. Together with my husband, we bundled our common passions and strengths and besides the existing horeca business and the coachingpractice I had at that time, we started to invest in properties together. Within 3 years, we owned a rental property business renting 20 furnished apartments, creating well-being, pleasant homes for expats. In the meantime I got more and more coaching requests from singles in my practice and decided to study relationshipscoaching at  RCI  to complement my lifecoaching.
 
And since I knew that wearing and surrounding yourself with the right coulours could seriously impact peoples lives, by my own experience, I also studied "coulourcoaching" at colourcomfort.
Dreams were not over yet because I wanted to help many more people. Therefore in 2008 I created the Unique You Institute to help mainly women learn what they have never learned before, neither in school nor at home, namely : how to eliminate their emotional bagage, how to surmount life-obstacles, lack of self-esteem, self-care. And how to create a sense of fulfilment, happiness, success and an enriching love relationship in their life.
